Tiger gossip 11

So its been quiet on the blog for some time because im busy with school. But tonight i had some time for wow and i popped in to say hi...for a couple of hours. Anyway, here is what i managed to snoop up for ya ;)

1. Our dark priest Fuzhill will now be called Uncle Fuzzy from now on. He proudly accepts his new title.

2. Roomers has it, that Uncle Fuzzy will have story telling nights in the future, telling us about his dangerous adventures (and maybe some naughty stuff too if we are lucky!). We have named the events “Uncle Fuzzy’a Story Nights” so keep your eyes open for a date of the event here on the blog.

3. Ravonz will soon post pictures of himself on the forum – as soon as he is finished copy/pasting his head onto Hasselhoofs body . Now you are warned!

4. Rafal is 12 years old :p

5. Reinos is cutting down on his wow playing time, so someone will have to step in his place as my number one fan. Who will it be? Get in line everybody , don’t shout all at once ^^

6. If you need easy ways to finish a quest - just call out fuzzy - he knows the cheat haxs. And it works, just ask Slaan :) (ofc he doesnt really cheat, he just uses his undead head)

7. Faynes dog is a very fit one cause it uses her treadmill! We want to see proof Fayne!

8. A true Bond drinks Finlandia Vodka… just like Dora…Celdora. So go home with your New Sweden beer Uncle Fuzzy ^^ Its not enough to be named Bond, u have to BE the bond :p

9. We are all geeks…in one way or another. In fact…you HAVE to be a geek to be a Tiger…so be proud of it dammit!

10. Rafal is the biggest geek though, lol

11. Mijo might be evul, but at least she listens ;)

Why I am for the horde

Some words about why I ended up as a Horde member.

As I told you in my introduction of myself a long time ago, I didn’t start out as a Horde, but then again it wasn’t really voluntarily. I started playing just to spend some time with some friends and they played Alliance at that time, so I had to do the same in order to play with them. I remember I said to Naarman; ”If I’m going to play Alliance I have to be a nelf cause that’s the only race that’s a little animal-like”.

Today the Alliance got the draineis, but at that time the rest of the races was very human-like and I didn’t (and don’t) much care for that. If I’m going to play in a fantasy world I’m not going to choose a race close to my real one. And mostly; I want to look evil *whine*. So I ended up with a very blue, dark-haired female nelf rogue called Miho. Sorry, did I just call gnomes human? They’re not, they were send directly from Hell and i can’t stand them!! There you go; now that’s out of my system. ^^

When I finally got my own account and I meant business with the game (yeah right), I chose to play Horde because I always knew exactly what Character I wanted to be. A female undead rogue with crazy pointy hair and an evil face. And so Mijo was born and I was able to join Tiger and play with Naarman. And ofc i have never regretted that move. ;)

As you can tell I didn’t read much Horde vs. Alliance history into my choice of character and frankly I don’t know much of the warcraft story. But the rp aspect means a lot to me in the sense that I want a char that ”I can relate to”. Not in the sense that I’m like a zombie irl, but if I lived in a world of war I’d rather be a cold hearted cannibalizing thief than a simple human! !

And it’s not just the undeads that I like, i love the Trolls, Taurens and Orcs aswell, cause they are more creatures than humans. And they kick ass! The belfs? No I will never like them cause they are skinny, puny, ally-like elves, that has voices that makes me want to pull out my hair every time they laugh. But I guess I have learned to accept that they are part of the Horde now, though you will never see me play a belf I can guarantee you that. That’s just me being oldfashioned and ofc I love everyone in Tiger no matter race and facial hair :)

For the horde!

Potrait Fuzhill

This portrait has been done for a long time, and changed many times. Not becauses its hard to find anything to write about fuzzy, but because he keeps leaving Tiger and coming back!

So first I had divided the portrait in 3 parts and was ready to publish – but then he left the guild. And I’d be damned if I write 3 post about a traitor! But then I thought it was a waste of work and since he still had Adriell in the guild I could just change it to one post and leave it at that. But now he came back again so I had to rewrite it yet another time! So it’s a bit of a skitzo post just like fuzzy himself and here goes:

No matter how you look at it, Fuzzy is a big part of Tiger even if he’s not always in the guild…or at least he is a big part of the guildchat :p Fuzzy loves to talk, though he is prolly the worse typer in Tiger EVER. But I won’t complain about it, since the typing problem has given me many laughs during my time in Tiger. So if you thought Uppfeldt types bad when tipsy you should see Fuzzy….you cant even understand what he says. But it doesn’t matter anyway, since he can’t even remember he was online the day after. You gotta give him credit for being able to log in then.

His constantly talking often results in fun Swedish mt’s in guildchat that we all enjoy so much. Fuzhill never fails to provide us with fun links on the bullshit thread on the forum and he talks just as much here as in guildchat. We like people who use the forum, even for BS :p

Oh well Fuzhill really is a nice guy though he can’t always make up his mind if he is an evil shadowpriest or a helping holypriest. He is without doubt the one in Tiger that has respecced the most and I fear he there’s a bit of a skitzo in him.

He likes to participate in any Tiger raids or rp events and always manage to make me laugh with his silly rp ways - like he did on the picture above :)

Fuzhill is a big fan of nudity (ingame and real life). He has made several nude runs with great success and sometimes he is nude himself when playing wow. His big dream is one day to shower in milkshake.

You will have to excuse me for my bitter remark about Fuzhill leaving Tiger, but Fuzhill used to be my favourite priest with benediction and all, so there’s a history there and a tiny broken rogueheart.
Anyway, Fuzhill is back in Tiger and hopefully he won’t go anywhere. Some day he must realise that this is the best place to be :)

So stick around buddy – we all love you wither you are shadow or holy…just stay Fuzzy.

Tiger Surfing?

Vacation season starts soon, but most of us wow gamers are merely poor students or hard workers with little cash to spend. So if you are looking for a cheap way to travel you can find free places to sleep all over the world - if you don’t mind being a guest in a stranger’s house.

All you really have to do is to pack your bags and buy some tickets and find out where there’s a couch you can sleep on. This is done by visiting Couchsurfing.com where people sign up if they have a spare bed, a nice coach or just a garden where you are free to camp. I think this is a great idea really and a fun way to meet people (as long as they aren’t serial killers).

So why not adopt the idea to the community we call Tiger? Naarman and myself already had the pleasure of staying at Kiaras and Zais house and this summer we are gonna stay at Peruns place. And personally I’d like to see all the different countries you guess live in and at the same time meet more Tigers in the future.

Just a thought – take it or leave it ;)

Pirate Party ahoy!

So we had a pirate theme party in Booty Bay yesterday and a lot of people showed. First person to arrive was Zaigerne who started the drinking before the rest of us. I found him dancing on a barrel cheering and screaming about world domination. Shamael and pulco were already showing off their dancing moves before the rest of the party showed. Though most people weren’t there when the party was suppose to start a lot of people actually showed up in their best pirate gear and a nice party mood. I heard there were problems with the boats that night so you are all forgiven for being late. Anyway, a lot of people had brought their parrots, pirate hats and swords and we all had a lot to drink. Turns out drunk pirates are also aggressive pirates and the first bar fights started. Levinta looked very innocent in her pink dress but ended up duelling Zaigerne and Rafal. But after all the booze people had, most of us couldn’t see that clear so there was some weird fights going on. And Zaigerne decided to use his fishing pole as a weapon yelling “I’m gonna spank you with my pole”. But it was all in good fun and people danced while Rafal sang “ahoy ahoy ahoy, we are raiding the seas, ahoy ahoy ahoy, and the bottles just wait for me”.
Fuzhill got drunk and tried to rob people while Ravonz got down to his/her underwear before duelling Naarman. It was a very nice party indeed :)

People got tired of duelling each other and we went to Grom Gol cause we heard there was some allys making trouble there. We met a lot of ally on the way and they all wished they had hid in the bushes instead of walking on the road. As we arrived at Grom Gol the danger was over though and we headed for Darkshire instead. Rumours about our plans must have spread and a horrible fate met us on our way to Darkshire. We ran into a whole army of alliance and eventually had to flee to Westfall. Here we killed everything we saw and captured a tower. A bunch of low lvl alliance followed us around watching our actions in awe and despair.

Someone got thirsty and wanted to take over Lions Pride Inn so we mounted up and left for Goldshire. The guards there got their asses kicked but the lowbies must have called for help cause suddenly we had a lot of alliance on our backs. We had some good long fights, but eventually got outnumbered. We still hadn’t visited Darkshire as we originally planed and we prayed that the alliance we met there before would be gone now so we could have a little fun. We were only 5 Tigers left in the raid and though we had some help from two friendly horde members we lost them in the woods on our way to the city. In Darkshire we started killing a lot of guards and everything went well. Then some allys arrived and they got their asses kicked too. We had a little party on a roof there, but then suddenly we were surrounded by allys again. We managed to get a couple of them down before we have to run for our very lives. We decided that we had enough action for that night and all said farewell. Brem didn’t have enough though and went back in to Darkshire alone! I haven’t heard from the brave soul since.

I’d like to thank all that attended the party for a great night, and also thanks to all that was with us in the raid; we did well for a small raid so good job everybody :)

Dont let this be the last ingame party for Tiger.

The day Mijo was famous

As some of you know i got interviewed by two lovely ladies the other day. They study girl gamers and were doing some research about girl gamers’ experience with computergames and how society reacts to it. Anyway this is not what this post is about. When they asked me to participate in this interview I looked through my calendar to find a day where I had time to travel to Copenhagen to see them, but it turned out they wanted to meet me in game.

One already had a character on Venture Co. and the other one made an undead and I met them in Tirisfal Glades. We sat down and had a nice chat that pretty much didn’t feel like an interview, but more like a talk among friends (okay among nosy friends maybe).
But they got the info they needed and we had fun meanwhile with emotes and some rp. Before I left they took some pictures and asked me to ride around on my mount so they could use the pictures in a presentation of girl gamers in a game conference. Needless to say I felt very famous that day ^^

It was a great experience and a fun way to do an interview about games I think.

Ofcourse I made sure to mention how great a guild Tiger is and who knows – maybe we will get two new girl members some day :)

/Mijo

Dangerous Tiger Hunt

(Naarman got the idea to make a post about this, and though it’s got nothing to do with wow I’m gonna try it out anyway, so here you go)

Naarman, myself and our cat Timmy lives on the second floor. Whenever we open up a window we have to keep an eye on the cat so he wont fall down. Now I've always been very scared that Timmy would fall out, cause I was afraid he would get hurt or that he would run away – especially cause he still is a indoors cat atm and wouldn’t be able to find his way back home. Naarman has always been lot more calm about it and left the cat alone in a room with an open window *gasp*. Now nothing ever happened, Timmy just sat there by the window and looked out, without trying anything stupid. That made me a bit calmer but I always checked on him – just in case.

So the other day we came home really tired and I opened up a window right between me and Naarman thinking that it would be easy keeping an eye on him. For a long time I remembered to turn around and see if he was still there and he just sat there peacefully. Then I started to write something for the forum or something and completely forgot all about the cat – until I heard the sound of the cat jumping up to sit on the edge of the window. Now our old cat has done this many times without falling out cause I always manage to catch him and get him inside before anything happened. But this cat apparently isn’t that smooth going and as I slowly approached the window trying not to scare him he slipped and fell down. He landed on his feet and though we called out his name he ran away as fast as his little paws could carry him. Naarman and I grapped the keys to the apparntment and ran down the stairs: outside he was nowhere to be seen and he didn’t react on our calling. Timmy is a very frightened little kitty so I imagined that he was hiding somewhere and theres lots of places for a little kitty to hide. So I said to Naarman that we were never gonna see him again but he insisted that we would find him and get him safe back home. We started the search and I saw a red cat far away. Ofcourse as I got closer it was a different cat. I told the cat it was stupid and it should go home or find Timmy for me. We finally found Timmy in a garden and thought the hard part was over, but nooo. The fun was just beginning.

Timmy was so scared that he didn’t wanna approach us as if we were strangers. And every time we moved closer, he just ran further and further away. I finally managed to get him close enough to pick him up but when u carry a cat that’s very scared you suddenly feel like you a very far away from home. Cause Timmy panicked and wanted to get down again and I tried to hold him but he just used his claws and crawled up my shoulder and down my back. And so he was under a car. So there we spend a lot of time lying on the ground trying to get him out from there. Naarman got the idea to get the cat carrier and some food since we couldn’t carry him home without it even if we got to pick him up again. It was getting darker and I was very much in despair that the damn couldn’t understand we were trying to help him. Also there were cars and scooters around and I was afraid he would run out in front of one of them.

Naarman returned with the food but Timmy didn’t care (this is very unusual for our cat ^^). So Naarm tried to poke him out of there with a stick and that eventually worked. Timmy ran to an area full of threes and the grass was high enough to hide him. That made him hard to find and since he kept moving we sometimes lost sight of him. We tried to pick him up couple of times but none of us could hold him and he got Naarman a lot of scratches too. I guess Timmy got tired of fighting in the end and I finally got him in the cat carrier – no struggle at all. If he had continued to fight like he started out, we would have never caught him. Just go to show you can’t catch a cat that wont be caught. It can kick your ass, outrun you and even outsmart you. So im glad he decided to corporate a bit since we consider him a family member.

This probably only took place within 30mins but it felt like hours and all 3 of us ended up bleeding from somewhere. Naarman and I got lots of marks on our hands and arms (and I got some on my back too), and Timmy’s claws where all torn from fighting us. But that’s the price you pay to get a family member back and Timmy is all alive and well today. Im sorry that i was rigth that it was dangerous to open a window, but im glad Naarman was rigth that we would get Timmy back home. Now I haven’t dared to open a window since, but I hope the cat learned a lesson.

Guess there’s a feisty little Tiger in Timmy aswell ;)
