It was Friday night; Celdora had washed back a couple of drinks and missed some ally-killing action. He turned to his fellow Tigers and found that many were as bloodthirsty as he. Quickly Tigers assembled a raid counting 16 brave souls: Celdora, Naarman, Nekki, Levius, Frawne, Gurell, Ines, Torkh, Tonkka, Ogger, Tegalad, Xorz, Kazamu, Ghroktar and Mijo. Ayombobo from our fellow guild Dance Macabre joined us aswell, for he was as eager to slay those filthy allys as the rest of us.
Priests, hunters, mages, warlocks, shamans, rogues, druids and warriors met at the bridge between duskwood and Westfall. After realising that the allys in Westfall were too young to fight back, we turned to Duskwood and entered Darkshire. As we got to the city we met strong guards but the horde was even stronger and one by one they fell to the ground. But alas, we got to brave and stormed deeper into the alliance territory and were surprised to see more guard than we could handle. For a moment it looked like our raid would end here, but together we finally cleared the town from ally scum. Nothing else in Darkshire had our interest and we moved out, leaving behind a bloody mess of what use to be the foulest enemies of the horde.
After a hard fight we could all use a drink and our goal was to get a taste of the alliance beer. So therefore we headed for the Inn in Lakeshire to see if those bloddy alliance at least had the decency to make proper beer. Lakeshire were not as heavily guarded as Darkshire, and after slaying most of the guards outside our thirst for beer drove us to the Inn. But it turned out that the bastards guard their beer better than we thought and we faced a fatal meeting with the alliance. The Horde put up a brave fight, but in the end we had to retreat from the heavily guarded Inn. The guards must have called for help, for suddenly the outside was filled with allys and they constantly grew stronger in numbers. This became a matter of saving ones own life and everybody fled to the mountains, not knowing if there would be anyone left of the Horde to meet there. Those with fast mounts or stealth abilities arrived at the gathering point first. A lot of young members were still fighting to get to the mountains and all we could do was pray for them. So while we waited in despair, we hid in the mountains, prepared to face incoming enemies and scouted for our missing members of the Horde. And just as we had given up on ever seeing the last members of the raid, out of the fog, they came one by one, and we all cheered them on as they ran towards safety.
Though we were all tired after this great escape, we were not sure if the alliance was still following us and we had to keep moving. So we swiftly ran through The Black Rock Mountains to get to Searing Gourge that would lead us to safety in Kargath. Here we could finally rest a bit, and get our badly damage gear repaired. Though we were tired, our hate to the alliance drove us further on in our quest for ally blood. Oh yeah, and we still hadn’t got that beer we wanted.
So the raid moved to Locmodan to see if we could find any allys in Thelsamar to slay. It turned out that Thelsamar was nearly a dead town and the few allys we encountered never saw what was coming. We ran to the Inn and Levius yelled “Beer! You bloddy dwarfs, where’s my beer?” To our surprise it was in fact in this God forsaken village that we finally found the beer. Deep in the basement of the Inn, we all heard a roar of victory and as I went down there, I learned that this roar came from Celdora as he threw himself at the beer.
Our thirst for beer was satisfied, but the thirst for ally blood can never be fulfilled and our adventure was not to see the end yet. And so we went to Menithil Harbour to take the boat to Auberdine in Darkshore. Unfortunately for the inhibitors of the harbour we had some “time” to kill as we waited for the boat. The simple people of the harbour stood no change against or force, so when the boat arrived, the harbour had turned into an ally graveyard. Any allys on the boat were lucky if they were only thrown over board. We all arrived cheerful to Auberdine and decided that we had enough adventure for one day.
Thank you Celdora, for putting this raid together, thank you Naarman for leading us, and thank you to all who participated in this ongoing fight with the alliance. May there be many more of these raids to alliance territory, so they can never feel safe from the force of the great Tigers.
