Yeah, we have all made them…..misstells, also known as ”mt’s”. You got guildchat running in the back, you’re in a group, and maybe you are even whispering with one or more people. So you got a lot of talking going on and keep switching between different chats. When you are in a party you often have to give messages to your partymembers quick, and then it happens. Your “ok” or “to the left” ends up in guildchat instead of partychat. This is unfortunate if your partymembers isn’t in the guild, but can simply be saved by writing “mt” after the mistake in guildchat. This is the most common mistake with misstells, but sometimes something else gets in the wrong chat, and this is were the fun starts.

Examples of Mt’s in guildchat recently:

1) Fuzzy is trying to say something in his partychat

(Gurell comes online)

Levinta: Hey Gurell, I got my dices back muhahaha

Fuzzhil: /p nope, or I don’t think so, you can always bring Tom Selleck with you :p That’s what I would do

Fuzzhil: whoopsy

Ravonz: lol?

Levinta: oh no, he is talking to himself again!

2) Shortly after Naarman shows a different kind of mt

Luckybull: hey Gurell

Gurell: Hello

Mijo. Hi Gurell

Naarman: Hi mijo

3) And Fuzzy did it again

Mijo: nitenite fuzzy

Fuzzhil: /p Gonatt pågar, hälsa Conny om ni träffar honom. (some Swedish gibberish)

Fuzzy you gotta stop making that space before you type “/p” ^^

4) Another mixup between partychat and guildchat

Partychat_Mijo: Naarm just poured me a shot?

Guildchat_Celdora: I took 2 shots, but it was only half alcohol and half juice :)

Partychat_Celdora: looool

Guildchat_Celdora: haha

Guildchat_Mijo: lol

Guildchat_Mijo: I think that was a mt

Guildchat_Celdora: yeah, mt of the month

Guildchat_Celdora: and its only the 4^th day

5) Joola

Kiaras: crazy boy!

Joola: you look cool little Joola

Bewise: I love you 2 :)

Joola: wrong chat :)

Now to be fair, I can share some of the mt I have done myself. I don’t have these written down, so im gonna have to trust my memory.

Im an expert in doing mt’s when I /w people…I push “R” to reply and haven’t seen that somebody else said something to me – and now my reply turns up at the wrong receiver.

One time I was talking to a Danish friend about last nights party…and the message “haha, yeah and then they thought you were bisexual because of me”…accidentally ended up at Hoolys…who had just joined the guild at the time, and who unfortunately also is Danish and understood the message ^^

I also remember making a mt to Ghroktar about the subject “masturbation”, but I have honestly forgot the details of what I said (maybe Ghroktar, who is scared by this for life, can help?).

Recently I also had an interesting conversation about vibrators and the line “it must be fun reading about it in the dictionary, if you really don’t know what a vibrator is”, ended up at the wrong person. Luckily the person I send it to wasn’t sure what a vibrator was, and hopefully he didn’t look it up in the dictionary. But you can call me queen of embarrassing misstells.

Misstells is an ongoing phenomenon and its going to happen to all of us someday. But remember, you are not alone, we will be here when that time comes….laughing our asses off. And if Mijo is online, who knows…it might end up on the blog :p
