Dangerous Tiger Hunt

(Naarman got the idea to make a post about this, and though it’s got nothing to do with wow I’m gonna try it out anyway, so here you go)
Naarman, myself and our cat Timmy lives on the second floor. Whenever we open up a window we have to keep an eye on the cat so he wont fall down. Now I've always been very scared that Timmy would fall out, cause I was afraid he would get hurt or that he would run away – especially cause he still is a indoors cat atm and wouldn’t be able to find his way back home. Naarman has always been lot more calm about it and left the cat alone in a room with an open window *gasp*. Now nothing ever happened, Timmy just sat there by the window and looked out, without trying anything stupid. That made me a bit calmer but I always checked on him – just in case.
So the other day we came home really tired and I opened up a window right between me and Naarman thinking that it would be easy keeping an eye on him. For a long time I remembered to turn around and see if he was still there and he just sat there peacefully. Then I started to write something for the forum or something and completely forgot all about the cat – until I heard the sound of the cat jumping up to sit on the edge of the window. Now our old cat has done this many times without falling out cause I always manage to catch him and get him inside before anything happened. But this cat apparently isn’t that smooth going and as I slowly approached the window trying not to scare him he slipped and fell down. He landed on his feet and though we called out his name he ran away as fast as his little paws could carry him. Naarman and I grapped the keys to the apparntment and ran down the stairs: outside he was nowhere to be seen and he didn’t react on our calling. Timmy is a very frightened little kitty so I imagined that he was hiding somewhere and theres lots of places for a little kitty to hide. So I said to Naarman that we were never gonna see him again but he insisted that we would find him and get him safe back home. We started the search and I saw a red cat far away. Ofcourse as I got closer it was a different cat. I told the cat it was stupid and it should go home or find Timmy for me. We finally found Timmy in a garden and thought the hard part was over, but nooo. The fun was just beginning.
And one day i found her walking outside my window on the 5th floor. *panic* But she just turned around an went in again.
I was lucky.. or she was smart or...well. I dont think any of my other cats would have managed that. Thou I love them i must say they arent so bright always.
Kisses to Timmy
Grats to Kiaras who managed to get through the long post AND to make a comment before Reinos! I hope he is ok :)

Anyway ... its really hard to not percieve cats as humans ... they tend to be perfectly able of walking left and right on the 5th floor balcony ledge without breaking a sweat or losing balance.. .. They tend to forget themselves and fall down if they get scared or they see a bird or anything ...
I got my peace with that a couple of years ago, and just let my cat lead his cat life as he pleases, take him to the vet for some stiches once per year when he gets clawed badly, and just hope for the best ... after all, we don't close down and lock down fellow humans into the rooms so they don't get hit by a car, or thet they don't have an accident, we always just pray for the best :)
Your little tiger is hell of a ute little cat :D
Atleast you all got home safe.
*pats*
And poor naarman, now he can't even open a window when he's sweating under his blanket.
