Does your partner, friend, neighbour or boss play wow? Heres the perfect gift for them; a 3d figure of their wow character!! Ok, i guess u have to hax their account first but....
Anyway, you can call me a nerd but i think this is just awesome. FigurePrints (guess what they do :P) have smelled the gold and offers to make your character as a figure, that u can needly place on your desk and admire every day. It has your own gear and everthing ofc. And it comes on a little platform with its name on - aww :)
On the forum where i read this news, ofc everybody thought it was the worse idea ever and everbody who liked this idea were the biggest losers - but i would love to have a deadly little mijo on my desk!
Before you get too exhited about it, it doesnt say wither it will be possible to order one outside of USA and Canada and it IS kinda prizy. You cant even get more information about it untill the 11th this month but heres a teaser anyways: FirgurePrints site.

FigurePrints Frequently Asked Questions ( FAQ )
What are FigurePrints?
FigurePrints are one of a kind, custom statues of your World of Warcraft characters created using high tech 3D color printing machines. We pull your character out of the virtual world and bring it to life.
How do you do that?
Our servers grab your latest character data from the Blizzard Armory, create a custom 3D model, and then let you pose it any way you like. Once you are happy with the way it looks you simply hit “Print” and our proprietary software prepares the model for printing. A trained artist gives your custom sculpture a final inspection before sending it electronically to our printing facility. From there your FigurePrints miniature is printed and shipped directly to your home.
I was with you up to the “printed” part. How do you print a statue?
We use technology previously reserved for the manufacturing industry, called rapid prototyping machines, to convert three dimensional computer models into physical objects. The electronic version of your FigurePrints miniature is cut up into more than a thousand very thin slices. The printer creates a slice at a time and the slices are stacked on top of each other to form the final three dimensional statue that we call a FigurePrint. We remove it from the machine, hand finish it, mount it in a glass display case and it’s ready to go.
What are they made of?
They are built out of a plaster-like powder that is then bonded and sealed to make it strong and colorful.
Will my character be exactly as I see it on the screen?
No, for several reasons. First of all the characters used in the game are relatively low resolution If we printed them as is, you would have something that looked like it was made up of a bunch of triangles. Our custom software smoothes the triangles out to create a much more attractive finished model. We also increase the resolution, brighten the colors, and sharpen the details to enhance your FigurePrints miniature and we automatically identify and thicken certain aspects of each model that are too thin to print. During the final pass our artists may tweak the angle and position of your weapons and armor to make a stronger and more aesthetically pleasing final statue.
How big are they?
We create the figures at 1:18 scale. In the game a human warrior is about 6 feet tall. At 1:18th scale that means the corresponding FigurePrints miniature would be about 4 inches tall, not counting the base it is standing on.
How much do they cost?
$99.95 plus $14.95 Shipping and Handling to any address in the US and Canada.
Okay, I’m sold. How do I buy one?
Because of the overwhelming demand and because each of our prints is hand crafted, we have been forced to limit availability. The best way to get a chance to order a FigurePrints miniature is to express your interest by creating an account on this website with a valid email address. We will alert you as soon as we are able to take more orders.
